Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required - Electrical preferred - Chemical or Mechanical will be considered. Demonstrated work experience will be considered in determining qualifications.
Requires a minimum of three years' experience in industrial electrical controls support, including PLC/HMI programming experience, control system troubleshooting, control network design/configuration including supervisory control and data acquisition, Servo drives, Encoders, VFD applications and instrumentation design, integration and specification. Two years' experience in a leadership role with focus on electrical control system maintenance and reliability preferred.
Requires proven skills in designing control schemes, programming PLCs, setting up operator interfaces (HMI) and advanced electrical troubleshooting of plant control systems. Must be available off hours to support plant needs if required. Proven leadership abilities with a team approach to problem solving and project work. Technical knowledge in Rockwell Automation Factory Talk, Logix5000 and Logix500.
Work with electrical engineering and manufacturing groups to develop standards, specify and design control systems for production machinery and process equipment. Work with equipment manufacturers on preliminary and final control system design of purchased equipment to meet FNG specifications. Provide support for electrical maintenance group on the following: Assist with PLC/HMI software/hardware management. Work with maintenance teams to develop technical training programs for PLC/HMI controls, software and VFDs and control networks. Also work with new equipment suppliers to coordinate training for maintenance groups. Work with electrical engineering/design group as well as programmers to provide PLC/HMI and controls support as needed and assist with control system documentation. Establishes and updates risk mitigation plans to avoid critical failures associated with parts reliability. Proficient work experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
