Associate Degree from a college or Technical school required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum three years supervisory experience in production environment required. Aseptic hot or cold filled packaging or maintenance leadership experience in food packaging field preferred. Leadership in production or maintenance of a thermal processing environment preferred. Previous high speed fill and packaging experience preferred. Aseptic course, MSSC, CQIA, Lean Bronze training preferred.
Proven record of leading, motivating and developing hourly teams required. Team based management background preferred. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Working knowledge of all HACCP, Safety, ISO and GMP regulations associated with the food industry. Requires administrative experience including budgeting and cost control measures. Must possess good computer skills and be familiar with MS Office applications. Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously, prioritizing work for self or others. Applicant must have above average trouble shooting skills with ability to implement permanent solutions. Must be able to evaluate production related data and implement measures to improve productivity. Ensure compliance with all FNG/OSHA Safety Policies and Procedures.
Supervise workforce in the processing, fill and packaging of juice products into PET and can containers. Facilitate change. Actively promote and participate in team meetings. Help plan, organize and execute daily production requirements to meet FNG's operational needs. Oversee work centers you are directly responsible for to ensure they are staffed to meet business needs and are running efficiently. Learn other work centers in the Shelf Stable Business Unit to provide supervisory assistance needed. Monitor and review production related paperwork for accuracy and compliance. Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures (SOPSs & SSOPs), company policies and government regulations (HACCP, GMPs). Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Hire, develop and evaluate performance of Shelf Stable employees. Provide strong leadership with a positive attitude that promotes team work.
Facilitate change. Instill and support safety programs and awareness. Encourage and give positive recognition. Build and strengthen relationships within the team. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback. Establish priorities and goals for teams and provide progress on regular basis. Hold teams and individuals accountable for performance. "Walk the Talk" by holding yourself accountable by following FNG's core values. Becoming an active member of the MRT or ERT teams is encouraged and preferred. Regular attendance required, interact cordially with co-workers in Bulk Handling and other areas of plant. Any other duties assigned.
