High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree or higher preferred.
Requires a minimum of three years recent experience in supervisory/leadership role in a stockroom environment.
Must be computer proficient, knowledgeable with Microsoft Excel and Word applications. Must communicate effectively. Must be self-motivated and exhibit the ability to effectively solve problems when recognized, whether with goods/parts or people. Develop objectives in consent with departmental or company goals. Must be capable of performing duties under all conditions while meeting deadlines and completing tasks. Experienced in managing a stockroom and interacting with people. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Direct, supervise and coordinate materials warehousing and distributions for materials, manufactured and purchased parts in stockroom environment. Advise Purchasing Manager of discontinued or obsolete items to determine disposition. Supervise stockroom staff and manage inventory. Implement disposition orders, organize and assign tasks to Team for completions. Work closely with and be a liason with other departments. Maintain conformance with safety rules and company policies, issue corrective counselings and administer approved corrective measures when necessary. Communicate with Purchasing and Information Services in solving difficulties or enhancements related to automated system.
Receive replenishment report, analyze for quantity, specifications and delivery requirements. Perform and manage cycle counts. Train new and existing staff on effective Inventory Techniques and daily tasks. Plan layout of stockroom and other storage areas. Approve all Inventory Adjustments and monitor issues from inventory made by stockroom staff. Provide overall direction of Stockroom Team members on daily duties. Engage in daily tasks including inventory control, outbound shipments, i.e. Freights, UPS and Fedex, manage housekeeping. Conduct onsite inspections to evaluate and coach team members in safety standards such as proper stacking, forklift use and general safety concerns. Direct materials to various departments for delivery from stockroom/receiving dock. Must interact cordially with co-workers. Regular attendance required. Perform any other duties assigned.
