High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to read, write & speak English and perform mathematical calculations. Must pass FNG's Mechanical Aptitude test with a 70% score. Must pass FNG's Basic Skills Assessment for this position with a score of 16 correct out of 20 questions. Manufacturing Skills Standard Council Certification CQIA or LEAN Bronze Certification preferred.
Previous Feed Mill machine operator and citrus experience preferred but not required. Truck driving experience or Class "A" CDL license preferred but not required. (For backup of the Peel Truck Driver). Waste Heat Evaporator experience preferred.
Must possess excellent problem solving skills. Must have a high level of mechanical aptitude. Must be computer literate.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Must be able to work in a wet, hot and dusty environment. Must be able to work with and around chemicals like caustic, acids and d-limonene oils. Must be able to obtain a FNG Class C Forklift Operator License within one month and a FNG Front End Loader License before driving Front End Loader. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to perform a variety of measurements. Must be able to work well with others. Must be able to follow instructions. Must be computer literate.
Operate, maintain, and clean all Feed Mill equipment including Front End Loader, Limer/Dryer, Pellet Mill & Evaporator. Operators must be able to perform all positions and rotate positions as needed. Perform daily and weekly cleanups as needed. Perform daily and weekly greasing of equipment as needed. Follow instructions and work with minimal supervision. Insure that all SOP, SSOP, GMP, Safety, and HACCP procedures are followed. Use high level of mechanical aptitude that will facilitate trouble shooting and problem solving of all Feed Mill equipment. Collect samples and perform daily tests as required. Communicate (verbal and e-mail) with team members, other departments, and management. Work closely with other team members in a pleasant manner and be a cooperative team player. Strive to meet production goals.
Prepare daily tracking reports in Excel or Word, regarding downtime, production volume, maintenance items and reoccurring problems. Perform mathematical calculations using flow rates, times, temperature and percentages. Regular attendance required. Must interact cordially with co-workers. Perform any other duties assigned.
|Compensation:||$15.50 - $17.22 per hour|
