High School diploma or GED preferred.
Must be able to read, write & speak English and perform basic Math. Must be able to convert units of weight and measures. Must be able to read, interpret and follow written instructions including operator instructions, safety information, SOP's and SSOP's.
To be considered for this position, must be able to pass the following: 1) Basic Skills Assessment; 2) Mechanical Aptitude test with minimum scores of 70%.
Manufacturing Skill Standard Certificate (MSSC), Quality Improvement Associate Certification (CQIA) and Leand Bronze Certification preferred.
This is a mid-level machine operator position with emphasis being placed on skills and aptitude. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Must be able to work as a member of a team and be willing to cross-train in other areas as needed.
Must be able to obtain a Florida Natural Growers Forklift Operator License (Class B) within 90 days. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to perform physical labor on a daily basis with frequent lifting of 35 lbs. Must be able to learn how to use the RFX system for inventory control of production materials.
Operate, maintain and clean packaging equipment including gable top fillers, casers, palletizers, wrappers, conveyors and miscellaneous manufacturing equipment. Perform daily and weekly clean up of manufacturing equipment. Assist in reworking or recycling product. Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain the work environment to meet GMP/Sanitation standards. Accurately complete process documentation in a timely manner. Maintain a neat and orgainzed work area. Use the RFX system to scan, move, issue, and receive materials as needed for production. Attend team meetings and work as a member of the team, sharing workload within the team.
Communicate with team members and team members of other departments and management to effectively convey production related information. Assist in any area of the Business Unit as needed. Regular attendance required. Must interact cordially with co-workers. Perform any other duties as assigned.
|Compensation:||$15.05 to 16.73 per hour|
